Neil has over thirty years experience in the ways of growing business whether this be directly or through partnerships and strategic alliances. In small, owner-run businesses, or large national organisations and covering the private, not-for-profit, public and education sectors, Neil has created and led the business development function in diverse markets, such as office technology, exhibitions, media and training and can turn this wide and deep experience to your advantage.
In 2002, he joined the Construction Industry Training Board at the beginning of a significant change programme to move a Non Departmental Public Body to a more business-led organisation. Drawing on his commercial and senior management experience, Neil was able to "commercialise" several parts of the business. The last six years were spent as a member of the Senior Leadership Team at the National Construction College, overseeing Marketing, Sales, Estates, Funding, Hotel & Student accommodation, Student Welfare and two Commercial Product Groups! In addition to this, he was also responsible for strategic alliances with the likes of Crossrail and the Nuclear New Build programme.
Specialisms include business & marketing strategy, senior team-building, staff engagement, collaborative culture development, business and sales development; all of which are relevant to any business in any sector! Neil's real passion is to join what he calls the "educational supply chain" to the business world and achieve a true partnership approach to skills development to meet the needs of the regional market.
